Is it normal that i feel nauseous when doing something very boring?

I have motion sickness and the feeling I get when I do something that really bores me is very similar to it. The only difference is that I don't feel fatigue. For example, when I wake up and lie in bed for an hour, it really bores me and makes me nauseous. Or when a lecturer in college teaches for the most of the time of the lecture, it really bores me and I start feeling nauseous. I also get it when I'm forced to do something I really don't want to do. Listening to music I hate would be a good example. Is this normal?

    • I have no idea if I do. I do start feeling better once I stop doing whatever is making me feel that way.

when you say these things bore you, do you also feel anxious because you are bored? the only thing I can think of is maybe it's some kind of anxiety related response. regardless, it might be a good idea to visit your doctor to get a real answer.

  • It can be a reaction of your body, just a way to get you out of the situation you are in at that moment. So yes it probably is normal
