Is it normal that i usually feel like i can't get a girlfriend??? I feel sad and alone, i feel like i need someone to hug. I feel like i wont find someone to do that with.

I need to know if this is normal, help.

Until you do, though, please let me give you a little advice from a female point of view. We hate it -- I mean really loathe it -- when someone wants a girlfriend because he "needs someone to hug." If you just want some random mammal to occupy space near you and accept hugs, get a dog. Girlfriends are not hollow receptacles into which you pour feelings; they're people who also sometimes need hugs, feel lonely, get cranky and have their own constellation of weird personality quirks.
The best way to get a girlfriend is to stop trying to get "a" girlfriend. Women smell the stink of desperation that no amount of Axe body spray can cover when you pine for just "a" girlfriend -- any girlfriend, just some bag of meat to hug. When you start seeing girls as people, not as potential girlfriends or interesting collections of bumps and holes, you'll get with someone in short order.
If you see every female you meet as a potential girlfriend, you'll scare them all off because that's creepy behavior. Don't be creepy. Be confident, funny and friendly instead. Appreciate women as people first, and eventually one or more of them will get interested in more.
Very well said. Just wanting "someone to hug" shows an insecure, co-dependent personality, and I can't imagine any less manly qualities.

You will eventually, but when it does happen you'll learn that happiness comes from within and isn't something a girlfriend can magically beam into your head. Simply having a girlfriend won't fix all your problems - in fact it will create new problems too. What I'm saying might sound obvious, but I once genuinely believed getting a girlfriend would solve all my problems.
Also, follow ProseAthlete's advice. She's one of the best advice-givers we have and she's on the money as usual :) The number one piece of advice anyone can give you is just treat girls like people because that's what they are. They're not that different from guys :P Think of them as complex individuals with their own lives because they are complex individuals with their own lives. I know a lot of guys who talk like you do, but what they seem like they want is an affection robot not a complex human girlfriend.
I felt the same way in my teens. I was fat and my best friend at the time had a new girlfriend every other week. I remember watching "the 40 year old Virgin" and thinking, "that'll be me." Then I met the perfect girl.

I have been on your same phase many times. The one thing that I will tell you, is that you shouldn't feel less manly for feeling lonely and wanting someone to hug.
However, girls do like confident guys and they truly notice desperation. I don't know if it is the same, but I was lonely for a long time because I had very high expectations about my next serious relationship. My advice would be that you should give more people a chance. It is surprising how the least expected person can have the deepest relationship with you.
I know how you feel, but having gone through some one night stands and quick and dirty relationships the last half year I can tell you it's worthwhile being patient. Because the "repeated failed relationship" period (as I named it) really doesnt help the feeling that there's no one out there who really gives a shit about you. It's all in your head though. Just keep being a proper human being and you'll get there
Dont stress it dude let it come natrual, you won't even see it coming. Plus having a girlfriend is not all that fun dude. be sides the sex at least. SINGLE is the way to live!
Yeah it's normal to feel like that when single, but if you continue to think like that you'll just limit the chances of you meeting someone.
Also when and if you do meetsomeone you might get way too attached. Man up!
