Is it normal that i feel like i have accomplished nothing in my life?

I'm 19 and I looked back at my life and realized I have not set or reached any long term goals nor have I followed through with sports or activities, I always seem to quit them and go for the life of lazy lounging and video games. It is somewhat depressing thinking that I haven't really done anything in almost 2 decades. Will I remain this way when I am older?

Dude, I'm in the exact same place. I'm 19, and I'm not sure exactly what my skills are, if I even have any. I feel like I'm spinning my wheels in life.

But even though I'm not at the point where I'm completely taking my own advice, let me say this: if you don't worry too much about failing, you can do whatever the hell you want to. Wanna be a writer? Or an engineer? Or an actor? Or whatever? Start doing it, even on a small level. And keep doing it, even if you suck at first.

If we don't believe we're going to get anywhere in life, we never will. Every morning you wake up, you get to choose your attitude about things. Because how you think about things has a drastic effect on their overall outcome. It took my mom getting breast cancer for me to finally realize this. Now I just hope I can actually utilize it to improve myself.

And I hope the same for you too. Just think positive! Go kick some fucking ass, dude.

you've probably achieved more than you think. i'm seventeen and i've managed half a year of highschool and not much else besides drug addiction and jail a couple times. be thankful for what you have accomplished, because when you're in a situation like mine, what seems like a little can really be a lot.

  • There's nothing wrong with that. You can still be cool without acomplishing anything special, just like The Dude in the Big Lebowski.

Wait til you're my age and still haven't accomplished a damn thing XD But all joking aside, some people (like myself, and some of the people in my circle of friends) are "late bloomers", and we're using our twenties to figure out what we're meant to do with our lives. Nothing wrong with a late start. ^_^

You are still a teenager. If you use your twenties to find out what you like, and your thirties towards reaching those goals, everything should come together. At least, that's what I'm trying to do.

Well, you came to realize that this is a potential problem, so yes now would be the time to act. As long as you have the means too do something like, you are still living at home( huge money saver) and you need to plan or strategize what you wanna do for let's say, school or travelling because once you meet that special someone it could make it a lot harder to follow through with your goals once you know what they are.
