I sometimes have that. But only when I'm wearing in-ear headphones and I'm in public. As soon as I start to worry if I'm breathing weirdly (because I can't hear myself) I don't know how to breath normally anymore.
I don't know why but I feel like that too. Like I'm suffocating, lost and uncomfortable.
I've also felt like I couldn't breath with earphones. I would usually keep the volume as low as it could on my Mac and still felt like I couldn't breath. Sometimes, when it's really bad, I start crying. I have to go to my sister's classroom so that I can calm down. Anyway, at least you don't get that way, you're lucky.
I often feel like I can't breathe when I read Manga. With you, it could be that the tightness of the headphones makes you feel claustrophobic or the rhythmic patterns of the music magnified causes your heart beat and blood pressure to increase which makes you feel like your suffocating. The more I think about it the more I think that you may be having panic attacks.
That happens to me sometimes when I listeb to really loud music; it like vibrates in my chest and my throat feels like it's closing.
Usually I breathe through my mouth.
But we must be accepting of other lifestyle choices.
EAR BREATHING.
Jk, I'm just giving you a hard time. I have felt this way too on occasion, but only if I have good headphones and am listening to my music REALLY loud.
