All my life I've been told that I was creative but it feels like I was lied to because nothing I do indicates that I'm creative. I feel lke everyone else has awesome ideas while I can't do or say anything original.
Any advise?
Same dude! But no idea is ever truly original as my brother likes to say, but if it bothers you read more or something... idk
I understand how you feel. People often tell me I'm creative, but I know I'm not. All I do is make fanart and fanfiction using characters I'm already familiar with - I feel incapable of coming up with my own characters. Or when I do invent an original character, I usually wind up hating them (unless they are the children of existing characters).
I think your own output doesn't seem original to you since you are the originator of it (if that makes sense)
I was/am a bit like this. People say I am creative and funny, but, 9 times out of 10, I feel like neither. You probably are a creative; creatives are normally their own worst critics.
Have you any blog to show how you're or not creative? It's hard to say anything only with this your question. Like, I need a proof, you know?
