Is it normal that i feel like i am shaking internally?

It started when I was trying to fall asleep one night and then all of a sudden, I felt like there was an earthquake. I look around to see if the nightstand or desk was shaking but they weren't. I then realized that the shaking was coming from inside me. I don't know how to explain it, but I am not visibly shaking externally. It feels like there's an "earthquake feeling" in my body. I checked my pulse to see if my heart was doing this but my pulse was a normal beat. I am 17 year old girl by the way and this only happens at night when I'm about to sleep. It happens about twice a week or so but I have no idea why this happens. I have no medical conditions and am not on any medication.

  • Huh. I think this has only happened to me maybe two times in my life. When I am on the brink of sleep (what I imagine as being the exact turning point from awake to asleep, and not simply laying down to go to bed) sometimes I'll randomly "tremble" myself awake for no reason. It was disorientating and weird. My mind randomly snapped back awake, shaking, only my body shakes too. It's not a seizure or anything, more like shock.

I have zero idea why it happened, but since it's rare, I don't really care too much about them or why they happen. Twice a week though? That is strange. Maybe you need some sleepy herbal teas or something.

Is it electrical or just shivering?

I'm not sure. What determines the difference?

I thought my insides were moving one time and they were!. I had gallstones, it sucked, I almost died.
