I don't masturbate that often, maybe about once a week. I feel good immediately after, but after a while I feel guilty. Like I'm somehow less a good person and I'm betraying the whole pure-and-innocent thing. I'm a 17 yo girl, if that matters.
There is nothing wrong or "impure" about masturbating. It is a natural tendency that almost everybody has participated in. It helps with stress, relaxation, and even helps ones self image by making you feel closer to your body!
I felt somehow dirty after masturbating to animal porn or such but that goes away after a while, believe me^^
it's probably the age / maturity factor.
not surprising for someone who is young to feel conflicted about seeking sexual pleasure and then feeling that it's wrong later on.
when i was that age i wouldn't have ever even admitted that I was masturbating. but these days... these days i know my body's desires and needs, and am not afraid to attend to them.

If you grew up in a religious household it is definitely normal. Religions like to make people feel guilty for normal human behavior and force people to ignore their natural urges to an unhealthy degree.
