Is it normal that i feel bad when i'm right?

You know when you're in an agrument with someone and you realize you just said something that made them realize they were wrong. Well I feel bad when that happens because I a lot of times lose and I hate that feeling and I don't like when others feel like they lost the 'fight'. I end up sometimes saying sorry to them just because I feel bad for proving myself. Is this normal, because I don't feel like it is...

I wasn't this way for most of my life and now I've learned that convincing those close to me that I'm right has no benefit to either of us I get 0 satisfaction from proving to my 60 + year old parents or my acquaintances from work or my girlfriend that I'm right so I will at the most state my opinion on something but more often than not I will tactfully avoid how i feel and show interest in their opinions. To this day the greatest regret of my life was convincing an impressionable ex gf who valued my opinion a great deal that Jesus never lived(something I don't even believe). However I still am very opinionated and judgmental and feel that my views are superior and not just different than anyone who disagrees with me. The only people I will attack are biggots and racists with those people i am combative past the point of belligerence.

Lol, me too. While most people seem to really love driving the point home I feel like I've just stabbed someone with words. Very strange... maybe it's something to do with feeling uncomfortable with power or being dominant in a situation.

I don't like it either. Me and my grandma were argueing about the Palestine-Israeli conflict yesterday, and I almost managed to convince her that Israel was in the wrong but I never did. She called a few days later to apologise about it, which made me feel terrible because it was me being unfair to her.

I feel the same way. That's why I'm always so depressed.

Haha I feel the same way. Even today my co worker and i were betting on a free burrito coupon by who can answer the most questions in the quiz in the newspaper. I got the most right but I felt bad and still let him have the coupon. arg.

I don't know that it's normal, but I feel that exact same way in arguments, so I voted normal.
