Is it normal that i feel bad because my family has money?

Well my best friend is sorta poor, and when ever money ends up in the conversation I feel like a bad person because I have money and he doesn't. Like, I feel like I'm rude or something. But I most definitely do not rub it in his face. Is it normal?

If it makes you feel better you can rid yourself of the burden by sending me some.

You know... I was listening to Dave Ramsey on the radio on the way home last night and he said something interesting...

People who live paycheck to paycheck often don't plan further than Friday, or maybe the end of the month. People with wealth often plan 5-10 years into the future.

It's not that they can plan so far ahead because they have money, but they have money because they plan so far ahead.

meaning, just because you have money doesn't mean you need to feel guilty about it. It's not as if you stole it from your friend. It's likely your parents looked ahead and planned for the future.

just don't make a point of flaunting it.

Your family has money....I guess that means you're entitled to it...after all, you DID earn it, right?
