I instantly develop infatuation towards anyone who is being friendly and nice to me. I've never had a girlfriend or a boyfriend, or good friends who would be nice to me, so I think that might have something to do with this.

I think this is pretty common if you're not used to nice people. I always found that a friendly smile makes anyone twice as pretty. I guess if you continue to be around friendly folk, your brain will learn to distinguish between all the different forms of friendliness ranging from good manners to sexual attraction.

I am the same way. I have a crush on basically anyone nice to me, and it often gets me into trouble. Only I have friends and a boyfriend and whatnot.
I don't really think it's that unusual, especially if kindness is something you're not accustomed to. My friend is the same way - he's been pretty isolated and he's kind of a loner so he doesn't meet new people all that often, and he also has really low self-esteem though I try to tell him to be more confident. He's a really good-looking guy, and extremely kind and sweet once you get him to warm up to you. But he's so used to people being mean to him, or ignoring him, that if a girl shows kindness and consideration towards him, he's very likely to develop a crush on her.
