Is it normal that i feel almost "dead" after school?

A lot of the time when I come home from school I feel incredibly tired. It sort of feels like my soul is drifting away, in that I have trouble moving and I feel very hazy. I'm pretty sure this comes from my fierce social anxiety, but it has been getting worse recently. I don't even have very long school days.

When I went to school I use to come home, gorge myself and pass out for a few hours. So yeah its pretty normal. Specially when it gets really hot where you live.

  • I never had/have a problem with school. I used to go to school, go to science club afterwards for an hour of two, and then go home and do homework and I still felt fine.

Is it just the work load? Or from facing everyone and feeling emotionally exhausted afterward...?

A little of both, but mostly the latter.

I very much dislike sports, and joining a club would bring in more anxiety for me. I'm trying to limit that as much as possible.

I too also have anxiety, but ive learned to fight them off. Not completely but mine is slowly but surely getting better. It takes time patience and perseverance.

Anxiety is basically no trust on once ability. No trust on yourself. Its doubts of yourself.
You have got to learn how to believe in yourself. You have to learn how to accept yourself for who you are, the good and the bad. Like maybe you have bad social skills, thats completely fine, your not the only, everybody aint good at something.
But one thing you need to believe that through constant practice you can be good.
And thats gonna take time and courage. How you will get that courage? Everybody has there own way, i hope youll find yours. Who are your heros? Role models? Learn from them. I hope that will get you started off.

Why not join a sport or club to your liking? It may help to have the same interest, and to bond with other people when you guys are working together to crush an opposing team :)
