Is it normal that i feel absolutely miserable after showering?

Every time I shower, I feel awful for a long time afterwards. My skin feels like it's unnaturally "tight", and my joints feel stiff. My head feels really hot, but the rest of my body feels cold and dead. I feel tremendously tired, weak, and feeble. Generally, my body just feels all wrong. It usually lasts for at least 24 hours, and it often lasts longer than that. I have to go at least a few days between showers, otherwise I'd feel like this all the time. It doesn't matter how hot or cold the water is, or how long I stay in the shower. It always happens.

Is there some explanation for this, or a way to fix it?

I'd talk to a doctor about it. That doesn't sound normal

That's very weird. Does water in other forms (e.g. swimming) have that effect on you?

      I honestly can't remember. I haven't been swimming since I was a little kid.

    Hey ap999!

I'm glad I found this via Google since I have the same problem. After showering, I feel totally knocked out. I tried changing my showering habits for example by using colder water in the end (I thought it might be a blood circulation thing), but this didn't really solve the problem.

Let me know if you gained any new insights.

    Best regards

This might be some sort of allergy, I'd look into it.

You might have hard water that doesn't completely rinse away all the soap. Glycerine soap might work better for you.
