I love my girlfriend. Like, I genuinely do. I look forward to seeing her when I'm not with her, the sex is GREAT and she's my best friend.

I don't know why, but I imagine what it would be like if she cheated on me and we weren't together. I almost imagine what it would be like being single, and it weren't my fault... kinda...

I don't know if subconsciously I'm afraid of commitment or whatever.

It's weird because we have such a good relationship, and we're so close, but I still have these feelings :/

I can't see myself breaking up with her any time soon... so don't worry about replies or anything...

    You sound like you've only been single when it's been your fault. You didn't mention if YOU have cheated on HER. Are you feeling guilty perhaps, and wanting her to do it to make you feel better?
    You should talk to her about this, if she really is your best friend like you say she is, you'd be able to sit down and talk to her. Perhaps your relationship isn't perfect, but the only way to help that is to talk to her yourself. Man the fuck up.

    Cheating would sucks! It involves just too much. She getting banged up by another dude and she being emotionally attached and attracted to another dude. IDK. U should think about the after effects.

    Just looking back through my old posts.. And wow. I forgot how fucked up this was.
    I really hope your girlfriend/"best friend" whatever has realised what a dick you are! No one deserves someone who has those feelings behind their back! I almost hope she does/did cheat on you because these thoughts are insane! No loving boyfriend would think this and I honestly feel sorry for her all over again.

    Gee, how close can you be if you think that?
    If you want to be single, be single. But you'll probably lose your "best friend".
    Just make sure that you don't change your mind when you are.
    Because it sounds like you want what you don't have.

    You sound like you dont know what you want. A friend was in the same position and even started replying to sex ads in newspapers because he was 'afraid of commitment and needed a release' he still acted like everything was dandy to his gf. She found out and left him for someone better. 'These feelings' sound negative. Let her get out and find someone who would appreciate her.

    It's sort of like a mental prep for you if you think about it...Maybe she doesn't cheat on you, but at least you your prepared for it lol.
