Is it normal that i fake conversations or scenarios to feel something?

Usually at night, I'll turn on music or imagine a scenario best fitting to the mood I wish to show. If I want to be sad, I do things or listen to things that make me cry. The same goes for anger or joy or lust.

Truthfully, I am not a very emotional person with my friends, family, or coworkers. I'm mainly the sarcastic, annoying, loud, happy, or aggressive person. I don't show weaknesses like sadness or intense anger (anger sometimes shown to be more aggressive).

I honestly don't know if this is normal. The scenarios I imagine could be a family member/friend dying, my school or work being robbed, or some different things.

If this normal? Or is this at least done by other people?
