Is it normal that i enjoy violence in fiction but not in real life?

I have always found violence (blood and guts) in fiction to be quite amusing! I don't know why but when I saw an anime/manga called Berserk, I literally started getting excited (not sexually) about the fact that the main character is so badass when he kills. In real life I hate war and violence and can't stand it if I see someone puke etc. I know that it's weird but still.. Am I a complete psycho or is it just the way of human nature, that we enjoy a little rough violence (in the old days, gladiators for example)?

I want to hear some opinions on this case and if someone wants to confess something or tell me something; tell it now. I will say this again so that some might really trust me: " I am NOT a criminal or a psychopath! I just find it cool when people's heads get cut off or someone beats someone bloody! But in fiction!" OK, I guess I'm through now...

    No big deal. I love twisted, sick, disturbing movies & books but wouldn't want to actually have it happen.

    You should play Fallout 3 or New Vegas! Dismembering limbs, exploding heads, etc.. I think this is normal in fiction

      Nothing compares to the dismemberment perk where when u score a headshot they explode in a torrent of severed limbs and gore. Lol or when it glitches out and their head is still floating there, all half exploded and disconnected. Videogames are a great way to live vicariously violent. There's also this torture video game where u get to saw someone up with power tools lol. It's a steambox game now and has been around for like 20 years. I forget what it's called but they talked about it on TYT on YouTube the other day
