Oftentimes i make a batch of cake mix, not for cooking, but eating it raw. IIN?

    OhMiGod don't do that!!! Don't you know there's RAW eggs in there! That can give you (among other things) salmonella poisoning!! It says right on the box "DO NOT EAT RAW BATTER"

    People drink raw eggs so what's the chance that the one you eat is the one with salmonella in it very slim.

    I always lick the bowl when I make a cake (or brownies, or muffins, or cookies... you get the picture. I think the batter tastes better then the actual thing I want to cook.

    I used to eat raw cookie dough, but I stopped. I'm scared of the salmonella risks.

    I'm not sure if I've had raw batter before. I probably have, though.

    It's normal, it tastes pretty good. Just be careful and keep your immune system strong.
    I don't want you getting sick off of it!

    mmm I do this too. Not with just cake batter though...muffin batter, cookie dough. yummy! I used to have an easy bake oven...but the batter was never cooked by the gay light bulb.

    Cake mix is very good raw. I sometimes eat raw cookie dough. I think you're normal.
