I think people are too quick to say your an alcoholic. Try quiting for a few days and if you really want to drink and find it hard to stop for a few days then you might want to go talk to someone at an AA meeting, but try this first without just jumping to the conclusion like this other people.

I did that same thing for years... Then I just got tiered of it. I beg to differ with all of these assholes. You may or may not be an alcoholic. Try marijuana it's not addictive and the only thing that might happen from abuse is sleepiness and lung deterioration.

People are quick to jump on the "you're an alcoholic" wagon. How long have you been letting alcohol put you to sleep? I did it for several months in college, mostly because I was bored and slightly depressed. It just became a habit. An expensive one. If you can't sleep, it's WAY healthier to visit a doctor and let them treat your insomnia. When I got sleeping medication, it tackled the underlying problem and I stopped drinking.

MAJOR caution here: Taking sleep medication AND drinking is a really good way to die - or spend the rest of your days brain-dead in a nursing home.

What's happened here isn't that you're an alcoholic, though it could become that bad very soon if you aren't careful. I had the same issues with another controlled substance, and I never realized that I was addicted until I didn't have it anymore. I couldn't eat, I couldn't sleep, I couldn't enjoy anything with out it, and it only got worse from there. My advice to you is to be honest with yourself. You need this to sleep, which means you're addicted. Try going without it for two weeks. True, you won't sleep well at first, but eventually your body will get back into it's own natural pattern and you WILL be able to sleep without it.

If you're not an alcoholic you are well on your way. Go to the doctor and get some Ambien or Sonata or at the very least go buy some Benadryl and go to sleep with that. Don't buy Nyquil it has alcohol and that would defeat the purpose.

I work in a hospital. All the time I see people come in with some medical condition and they have to stay longer because they're alcoholics and started to go into DT's. Lots of these people go out of their minds, we have to tie them down and they shit on themselves for days and don't even know their own name. You need to stop drinking now the sooner the better.

I was the same. It's not the end of the world if u stop for a few days and get your sleep pattern back normal. It will..

Yeah, you may be an alcoholic. If you can't stop on your own, go try an AA meeting. :)
