Is it normal that i dream too often during sleep?

I dream on daily basis. Almost every single night during sleep. It's not just at nights but also during the day. These dreams can be of any sort. I often get peaceful dreams but sometimes it gets bloody as hell. I almost killed a person with my bare hands whilst trying to save my best friend in a dream to forget. The fun part is that I can remember most of the dream after I wake up. Most people complain that they couldn't remember their dreams but I can.Is it normal to get dreams this often or is there any mental condition behind this?

I say it's normal. But according to my mom, it's schizophrenia -.- she thinks I have it for having vivid dreams every night... But I'm also very into Lucid Dreaming, and Sleep Paralysis, along with Astral Projection, and all that jazz. So I say, normal. And I use to have gory dreams all the time. I still do, but not as much.

People seem to like trying to medically prescribe labels to things they don't understand. If I went to the doctor today I could probably be prescribed with schizo, multiple personality, bipolar, and oppositional defiant disorder.

I lucid dream and astral project, but I've never tried sleep paralysis. What's that like?

My sleep paralysis was something like this.... I woke up to use the restroom, and then went back to bed. My head felt really heavy and weird after awhile and I was laying on my back...and I realized I was going to sleep paralysis. I let it happen. And then I realized I couldn't move. At all. At that pint I got scared because I didn't want to hallucinate, and luckily, I didn't. But there was a strange noise in my left ear. So I took some deep breathes and snapped myself out of it.

What's astral projection like? I'm thinking about doing it through sleep paralysis.

Astral projection for me would be different for you. I have a... um... let's call it a "safe zone" that I have been allowed to go to for training purposes. I'm not allowed to tell anybody how to get there though.

I'm also not allowed to randomly surf the astral plane just yet, because it CAN be dangerous. There's critters in them waters. You have to know how to protect yourself before you can do that. Or find someone who's been there and use the buddy system.

Anyway, astral projection is like dreaming awake. You can use ALL of your senses just like you can in the real world. That's actually a trick you can try to test whether or not you were successful, try eating something or smelling something. If you can't smell or taste, you haven't projected.

Most importantly, don't let your conscious mind "edit" what's going on. Just let it happen, not matter how weird it may get.

Yeah... Thing is I'm very paranoid. And I don't want to enter the plane. Just want to chill around the house, you know?

Sounds like a typical case of the Screaming Moists. I prescribe exorcism by fire.

You can actually have 4 or 5 dreams each night, that's nothing unusual. Dreams are mostly of more negative emotions.
