Is it normal that i dread sleep without my girlfriend next to me

My girlfriend and I have been sleeping together for a couple of months now and we love our company and having that protection when we do go to bed together. But when I have to go away for work for a couple of days, its very hard for me to go to bed and I just dread knowing that I have to go to sleep alone without her, I feel empty and lonely like I am missing something. I pretty much get into bed and watch TV until late hours of the morning when I crash and not think of anything. I just want to hear some stories from other people to know if I'm not the only one.

Yeah... I'm the same way... Promote me to a 7-year old now, because my eyes seriously bend shit around in the dark and make me berry skerd. I have to hold her hand for around 10 mins to go to sleep... Your not alone XD

For years after returning from the war, I found it very difficult to sleep alone. I felt completely exposed. Even today, I sleep more soundly if there is someone in bed beside me.

Who were you sleeping with during the war?

        What an ignorant question.

When I was in the war, at which time I was also working at an offshore oil rig, at which time I was also involved in my first marriage, at which time I was also sending my first daughter to French boarding school, at which time I was also raising my first daughter on my boat...

I was jerking it to sonograms, like a normal person.

All of them. As an older, more experienced lover with the patience and knowledge to teach people how to have sex (in the missionary position only ), I'm sure each and every one of them learned so much about the subtlety and adventure involved in missionary position sex.

Having someone on watch may only give one a false sense of security, but that is enough to get a bit of sleep.

But how is that related to sleeping with someone? The question was about sleeping in a bed with someone.

I don't think it's sleep you dread, I think you might do something else in there with your girlfriend and you're missing that :)
