Is it normal that i dont watch movies

yes seriously !!!! i really dont watch any movies ... its not like i dont them but may be its my routine or my preferences ... i like short films of ten to 20 mins. and i also watch some cartoon movies that leave a message but i just have never been interested in watching 3hrs or 1:30 hrs movie ... its seems to me as a wastage of time... and i find no difference between other people and me bcuz of not watching movies that make me kinda more proud on this fact.... secondly when i think of a movie i really get confused as here is a variety in front of me and in tension to choose i leave it and dont watch any ...... is it normal should i watch movies... and for the confused part if i should then what kind of movies ... ill be more thankful if i get a name ...of an extremely excellent movie ..

Lately, the only films I'll watch are foreign or old.

I barely watch any TV either.

    I think it's somewhat normal.

Most of what TV has to offer is crap. The only shows I really watch are adventure time, regular show and british TV. Now the Olympics are going to be on and I don't mind it at all, but do I really want to sit down and be glued to it all day?

The movies are also very limited, everything is the same and its annoying >_<

I'm with you. I don't watch movies all that often. When my friends used to want to go to the cinema all the time,i always opted to do something that would keep us busy and having fun. Not sitting on our butts not talking to each other.

    I watch movies too much.
Something about great screen play and acting, you can feel sort of included in the story and brought into their world, you can feel a connection to the characters.

i disagree!!! i really dont feel into them rather what i see in movies is THAT -> actor is acting good, how dresses are designed ,hows the background and is the story ending happy with a message and if it ends with an incomplete kind of thing than leaves me depressed...!! :(

Hmm, well I get indecisive, but I always choose a movie eventually. I don't know, I don't see good film as a waste of time and never could.

If a good book isn't a waste of time, and it generally takes longer to read a book than watch a movie, then how could a movie be a waste of time?

And I don't know what kind of stuff you like, but you said animated movies with messages. Soooo lemme rattle off some suggestions. Only half of these are animated, Waking Life and A Scanner Darkly are rotoscoped.

    Waking Life
    I <3 Huckabees
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
    A Scanner Darkly
    Idiocracy (really funny too)
    The Invention of Lying
    Animal Farm ;P
    The Dark Crystal
The Last Unicorn (soo dorky but somehow so good)

    • I'm kind of surprised that someone here mentioned The Dark Crystal. Well, I second the recommendation. Pretty cool stuff.

I seem to dislike most movies, but I keep on watching them. TV, on the other hand, I can definitely do without.

Those are the movies that my husband loves the most from his movie collection. I could not watch The Last Unicorn.

I love Idiocracy, The Invention of Lying and the Dark Crystal

        I love the Last Unicorn!

I think The Dark Crystal is a masterpiece like Labyrinth and I haven't seen the others you mentioned.

Believe me, no seriously fucking believe me, I used to be the same way, and then I discovered Star Trek.

It is possible that you just have not found something that interests you enough. I never knew that I was a sci fi nerd.
