Is it normal that i don't want to leave my house?

Every time I have to go somewhere, I feel tired or slow. I feel like I'd rather stay in my house for the rest of my life than face the world...
I don't feel depressed, but it makes me angry to leave the "shelter" that my house has become. I don't know what to do. It's not as if I can't leave my home, but I can't stand the thought of leaving, either...
Is it normal?

Funny thing--I'm the exact opposite now... Now I feel trapped. I love my house, but I want to leave every now and then too.

It's quite a common thing. You seem to have it under control because you still do go out. Be aware that this could snowball into something else if you stop going out. Please don't do that. When you go out, reassure yourself that it's going to be ok and you might even have a pleasant experience you wouldn't have otherwise had. And reassure yourself that you'll be coming home again soon and even allow yourself to look forward to that moment of coming through the door (that's a cosy feeling).

  • I don't see a problem with this way of life as long as you are happy and content. There is no written law that you have to go out and do things and conform. If you really dont want to then don't and dont let anyone tell you otherwise, its your life. Some people just function better alone. If you have the financial means to support this way of life there is absolutely no problem with it. You are not harming anyone.

It sounds like you have a very mild form of agrophobia (being afraid of leaving ones home). I seriously suggest you see a therapist before this develops into something more grevious.

maybe u have done something wong and you are afraid of what others ( the society )think about you ! or maybe you are being too lazy to enjoy life which isn't normal at all even though home is the only place where we can feel safe.

  • Sounds boring. I can't stand being in one place for too long.
