Is it normal that i don't want to have kids?

32 Reasons why I'm not having kids:

1. The world is overpopulated (7 Billion and Counting)

2. My genes aren't that good.

3. I don't want to go through pregnancy & childbirth.

4. The risk of Multiples.

5. There's thousands of kids in need of loving parents.

6. I'm not a kid person and would rather stay away from them.

7. Peace of mind.

8. Peace & Quiet at home.

9. I want to travel.

10. Even if I raised a kid lovingly, that kid could grow up to be an asshole.

11. Possible risk of my child getting pregnant or getting someone else pregnant.

12. The love between a parent and child is not unconditional.

13. I don't want to expose my unborn children to the evil and corruption of this world.

14. I want disposable income.

15. I love dogs alot more.

16. I believe that having kids is the epitomy of selfishness and narcissism.

17. I'd much rather adopt kids that are already here.

18. I don't want to deal with Infancy & the Toddler/Preschooler years.

19. I believe that parenthood is overrated.

20. I believe that there's better ways to contribute to the world.

21. I believe that I can be happy without kids.

22. I don't ever want to breastfeed.

23. Sibling Rivalry, or the dreaded "Only Child Syndrome".

24. Loss of identity.

25. I just don't want to.

26. I love my "Me" time way too much to give it up.

27. I don't have much money and I'll be lucky if I can support myself.

28. My mom already has grandkids.

29. I don't want to be chained to this life because of kids.

30. Even if I did have a baby, the judgement and unwanted advice would not stop.

31. It's too big of an undertaking and I'd probably be a bad mother because of it.

and

32. Sometimes, it's just better to take the road less traveled.

    It's normal.

    Number 25 was the only one you needed. You don't have to spend all that time justifying your life decisions to us - all you're doing by giving all those reasons is tempting people to argue with you.

      Exactly! I could argue against all but 25. It's a personal choice. But someone needs to raise kids to be good people otherwise Idocracy may ensue.

    No offense but number 16 is stupid as shit. If nobody had kids this world wouldn't even exist. How is it the 'epitome of selfishness and narcissism'? It is understandable if a few people don't want to have kids, but having kids in and of itself is completely natural and not selfish at all...in fact it is the opposite. The drive to have kids is what keeps us alive, and that's biology.
