I don't want to be buried or cremated or I don't want any rites to be performed. I never want my body to be found, to be honest. Something like lost on the forest floor, or beneath a sea or lake or frozen in ice sounds appealing.
I am donating my body to science. I will be the skeleton in a Jr. high biology class, somewhere in the Midwest when I die. I hope the kids dress me up and take pics with me. I also hope to get a cool nickname like Bones or Mr. Xylophone.
I absolutely detest funerals, I've had to go through it for my grandmother, grandfather, father and best friend, it doesn't give me any closure, feels like a hard days work acting like I should feel according to my surroundings. It feels like a day filled with lies to me.
If those I leave behind feel the same way I do, I sincerely hope they can find a better use for my body (like Counterfeit.Circus' donation to science) how-ever if it gives them the closure most people look for in such rites, then by all means, let them do what they have to do.
Not being found would actually seem like such a scary thing to me. How will the people I leave behind feel about it? What if someone finds my body half rotten?
I want to be sat on fire in a hot air balloon and have a rpg full of fire works shot at it. And this will all be happening in Antarctica in front of a bunch of penguins preferably.
Well all of you have amazing afterlife ambitions, my wish doesn't seem abnormal anymore, at least according to IIN standards. :D
You know, I sorta feel the same way.
I have a fear of small spaces, so coffins freak me out, and well, I'd rather not be burned to ashes either.
Now that you mention it, dying in a forest, or some place pretty sounds the most appealing.
Hey, I don't think it's normal, but if you can get someone to throw you into the sea and it doesn't break any laws, I say, go for it.
Actually I would like my body to go to a university where they use cadavers to practice medical procedures. My daughter did this and really learned a great deal about the body. Good for all.
Skeletons are cool, I want to be buried so my skeleton can be preserved over many many years
I have been living and making my living on the water since I was 12. Much of that time I have earned a living from it as a fisherman or fed my family, friends and charter guests from it. So I have told my children and girlfriend that when I go out I want them to throw my body, unembalmed, into mother ocean. Seems fair to me!
