Is it normal that i don't want to be around anyone ever?

I love my family and friends and coworkers and most strangers that I meet, but i would just rather spend all my time alone than with anyone else. When given the opportunity to do something with family or friends I always try to come up with some fake excuse as to why I can't hang out. The thing is that when I do go out I usually have fun. I just never want to see anyone even if I know i'll have a good time.

I think you might be depressed. Isolation is a form of it, you should just go have fun, you know that you can always go back home to be alone if it is too much.

Just depends, if ur felling depressed about it u might develop some type of anxiety, with can lead to agoraphobia (fear of out doors) that stems from social anixety... And all thats normal becase its a normal comdistion, kalanapins can help that. Im not a doctor or anything, its just that I had tha same condistion. Or hey you might just like ur alone time, as long as its not depressing u then its all good, but if its gettin u down then u should try to talk to someone professional, they got some stuuf that can help wit that. And last thing, u could try subjective theropy witch is just going out and hanging out even tho it makes u uncomfortable. Good luck yo, just dont make a hanbit of having to drink every time u go out cuz thats what I did and its no beuno. Good luck friend...

I dont know if I would say I'm depressed because I like being alone and never feel upset of sad when I don't go out. I'm going to talk to someone about it thought for sure.

      Thanks for the advise

also, good call on the drinking thing. I used to do that all the time and learned quickly that its not the best idea to sacrifice my liver for the sake of going out.

      • Really? I'm 28 and I still haven't learned that. I associate going out with drinking. I'm cutting down on both.

Normally though I just don't like to go outside or see people when I'm sober.
