Is it normal that i don't want to answer calls from my mother

We're not close anyway and last time i see her was 4 or 5 months ago. I'm 20 years old male, same with my sister to sometimes we have very short messaging conversations but somehow i don't really mind them i mean i do but I'm empty and like i don't have anything to say. I want to cut all of my family members from my life, that's only way to move on otherwise i can't keep living for sake of them. Any advice please today my mother called me 5 times but i think I'll change my number soon. It was mistake when i gave number to my sister.

    Nothing wrong with wanting your own life or do your own thing. I have a close family, too, but as far as frequent contact, keep it to my oldest sister, who fills me in on things, holidays, etc. Similar to the above, it's not for any bad or mean reason; Just mostly, once we get past the basic, how you doing conversation, there's not much to talk about. Can write down how the conversation will go, and be correct.

    Can't talk about my work/business much, as they don't understand what I do, or, really, being in business, so, things I go through or need to do falls on misunderstanding ears if I tell them anything related to that. All I ever get is "why don't you just get a job?", or, one time, that pissed me off, one sister added "real" into it..Why don't you just get a real job.. They don't get being self-employed, and I'm done trying, so, talking about work is useless. So, I keep things to my oldest sister, whom I've always gotten along extremely well with, and enjoy being around.

    Why don't you want to be part of their lives now? I'm 67 and have little contact with my family. Over the years we had our own family, Wife and kids. And live 100's to over a 1000 miles away. Seldom phone, Not even phone with most. I still have 2 brothers and 6 sisters. 1 brother and 2 sisters live in the same town. I only talk to one sister. Not because of any bad feelings for the other 2. Just nothing common to talk about. When we were young we were a close family..
