I happen to be 18 and i'll be turning 19 next week. I don't vote and I plan to never vote in my life. I believe that voting is a stupid, pointless endeavor that should be ignored by alot more people. I heard that if you don't vote, you have no right to complain. I believe in the exact opposite: if people vote, they're the ones who have no right to complain as they're the ones playing along with the system. Personally, i think that we should get rid of the governments and gain individual powers in our countries.

    I think it is foolish. The fact is governments would be a lot more progressive if young people voted.

    And just look at countries with no democratic government. Crazy theocracies, clans, thugs and armies - thats an alternative?

          If we had self-power, we wouldn't need any politics. We could be in charge of our own land, sea, and air and do whatever we want. We would be completely free. No goverment, no chains.

    Its normal, but that doesn't necessarily make it right.
    No offense, but I think you need to educate yourself on the History of what happens when people don't vote - also research the lifestyle of countries that have no right to vote - if it is anarchy that you seek.... perhaps move to a country that celebrates that type of lifestyle; there are many countries out there, you don't need to stick to comfy first world countries.

    Believing in anarchism is the only good reason I can see for not voting, so fair enough for you. But you should be aware that choosing not to vote in no way actually damages the political system.

    Nope you do not have a right to complain. You chose to not have a say during the elections so why should you get a say when things don't go your way in politics?

      Yes she does. The system's rigged therefore it doesn't matter if people vote or not. She's aware that our government is shit. Voting would be conforming to thier little games therefore giving them encouragement to continue being trashy. She's saying that Anarchy is the only way to go because of our crappy-ass leaders and politicians. I would find her belief correct.

    Neither normal or abnormal, personal choice. I'm a labour voter. My nan would come back and haunt me if I voted conservatives. xxx
