Is it normal that i don't understand the hatred?

I don't understand why people hate Eugenecists when the world is severely overpopulated (We're at 7.1 Billion now) and will only get worse as the years continue on. In 2025 we'll be at 8 Billion and in 2045 we'll be at 9 Billion. I don't think that's anything to be proud of. Why does no one appreciate the beliefs of a Eugenecist for a more stabilized and much reduced population? There's way too many of us but it seems like there's not many people who care and make the personal oath to not reproduce. I just don't get why Eugenecists are hated when their idea is well-meaning for the planet. IIN?

Please say how you define a eugenecist.

The term does carry with it rather unpleasant connotations and associations.

Because they believe the freedom of people to fulfill natural, near-universal urges should be restricted. People don't like their freedom being restricted, that much should be obvious.

It's not just that you're restricting freedoms, but that you're doing it in an horribly unequal way: "these people have good genes and are thus allowed to reproduce, and these people have bad genes and are not". That effectively creates first-class citizens and second-class citizens in society based on luck of the genes (not to mention that whoever gets to decide what genes are "good" and what genes are "bad" holds a huge amount of power which they can manipulate for their own gain).

There are also much, much better ways to deal with the problems of over-population than eugenics. You'd need every country in the world to agree to implement eugenics laws, and seeing as we can't get every country to agree on much less controversial ideas I think it would be quite a tall order :P The main problems of over-population are resource waste and destruction of the environment, and it would be a lot better idea to deal with those problems directly rather than saying "well, if we just had less humans our problems would just go away". That's regressive and avoidant.

    • Oh, fine then - we should just let inferiors of all stripes breed out of control and overrun us. You can say that you don't care now, but we'll see how quickly your opinion changes when you wind up in one of their neighborhoods.

Inferior, repugnant people do not deserve to breed. They probably don't even deserve to live - outside of labor camps, that is.

And by the way its a lie that we cant grow enough food for all the peoplke here..just use your brain and think about that one for a minute. Why do you all accept without question whatever the system feeds you??? Cmon! THINK FOR YOURSELF. Open your eyes. Its time to wake up and quit sucking at the teat of the beast.

Let me tell you something..the problem here is that you are completely ignorant of what it means to be a eugenecist! The NAZIS WERE EUGENECISTS! Its not about genes and selective breeding ! Its about EXTERMINATION! YOU yourself may not be suitable for their plans! Have you thought about that??? Are u so sure you would pass muster??? Incidentally ..Grandfather Bush and Margaret Sanger started PlannedParenthood to prevent low income types from breeding! And I bet you thought it was in the spirit of health care for all and a healthy sexual philosophty! HA! Wake up dummies. And dont believe your Cabal sponsored online dictionaries

Because they seem to take some more or less arbitrary ideal (the quantity/quality of future human populations) and act as if that is objectively most important.

Even if their thinking is determined by practicality rather than idealism (i.e. a necessary means in a seriously overcrowded world), then I would still dislike it, because it disregards the individual and seeks to control it for some greater good.

Unless you live in a place that is being flooded with humans, and it is clear that it would be a good idea to agree on not having so many kids, then I think eugenicist ideas are unsympathetic.
