Is it normal that i don't think men should swear in front of ladies?

I'm 18 and I grew up going to a school for boys, which might have had an influence, but I've always found it...unsettling I guess you could say when my friends and I are somewhere with girls and they swear worse than sailors. I swear sometimes myself but usually only if I'm in pain or something like that, but they use incredibly crude language at times. I was taught by my dad to treat everybody with respect, male or female, but especially women because "they're lovely". It's such a random thing to get hung up about, I know, but it does bother me at times. So, do you think men should swear and use crude language (referring to sex) in front of women?

Isn't that a little sexist? I guess if you are going to be sexist thats probably the nicest sexism ever but I have known many girls who swear who would feel patronised by this.

I don't have a problem with it, depending on time and place, but then I swear A LOT myself, so it would be hypocritical to expect men not to swear round me.

I got through a comment without swearing! Yay!

It's sad that I consider this somewhat of an achievement :/

I don't people (male or female) should swear at all unless they have a good reason.

I agree, profanity is a form of language that is not required. Of course even though I dont use this paticular form of language my friends say my grunts groats and growls are my vulgar language. ha ha

That's really sexist. It's just a little offensive in my opinion if you think our poor tender ears can't handle the naughty words. I can cuss too you know, and I think you're a real fucking dick. Your intentions are good, but in the end you're just a sexist fuck.

There's just as many women who swear like sailors as men...
I don't swear myself, but I've never understood how words can be considered "bad" words. It's just a fucking word. But I also don't understand why black people are offended by the N word.

Wait what? wouldn't you prefer that they were themselves around you? Doesn't that mean they are comfortable with you?

I love when my wife farts in front of me its so funny.

Coz a womans fart is like swearing no?

Why can't we just be equal, asshole? j/k... but seriously, I am kind of offended when I here a man say "don't talk like that in front of the lady."

I'd say this logic should only apply to children, the elderly, authority, and sometimes the religious.

  • i curse lots but its because where i am from its normal i even find myself cursing at people behind the till at shops not because i am angry but in normal conversation.
as for in front of girls i do not care if its a girl, a boy, a dog or monkey it should not matter,
