Is it normal that i don't think jeff dunham is funny?

Everyone seems to think he's funny and they think I'm crazy when I confess that he doesn't make me laugh. Anyone else feel the same way?

I wish his puppets would come to life and kill him.

Glad I am not the only one. No most of his jokes are stolen, old and / or hacky. He is good at working the puppets and shit but he is not funny.

    • Yeah exactly. It's sort of like Daniel Tosh being unoriginal and old in his humor, except at least Jeff Duhnam has a bit more substance, but not by much, and uses puppets as a platform instead of a TV host role.

I like Tosh better actually. Tosh.0 how ever... I can see what you mean. What can I tell you? People seem to love mindless bullshit.

Hah! Unfunny? You won't hear me talking about hate often because I think it's an overused term for even mild irritation, but I absolutely detest this man. He is an offensive fuckwit who is about as funny as a kindergarten massacre. He makes me embarrassed to be human.

He might think he's being post-PC (or maybe he doesn't and he's just a fucking twat) but people aren't judging his act as post-PC or enjoying it for that reason and he *must* know this. He *must* realise what he's doing. The best thing I can wish this cunt is an early death. Preferably in front of a firing squad.

Strong words, Mr. Dappy. What did Jeff do to get you so fluffed up?

Grr! It's a few things but the dead terrorist stuff was the icing on the cake. I understand it. I really do. But he's doing it wrong. He makes all these irascible characters and then gives them a background of someone a people or nation have a problem with. He reinforces the most negative stereotypes and I refuse to believe he's such a cretin that he doesn't understand what he's doing.

Either he's going for satire and he's an utter moron who doesn't have the first clue, or there is no duality of meaning about his act and he's a dangerous individual who should be imprisoned.

P.S. I had a dream about you at the weekend. Someone phoned me up and said, "Hello, it's Shady McShaderson" (which is your private nickname in my mind) and then we had a bit of a talk about kung fu (you were very knowledgeable).

        • It's not that he's offensive that bothers me, it's just that I find his satire to be really, really weak and unoriginal. "I KEEL YOU" is not clever in the least. If I want to watch a good, offensive satire on Comedy Central, I'll stick will South Park.

I'd agree with that too. Although my main problem is ignorance, I do also have a problem with how weak it is. What part of it is meant to be funny? And why isn't it?

Heh! I wasn't even in a bad mood when I wrote this. But no, I don't think I'll be inviting him over to mine for Christmas. Not unless I can secure a poisoned turkey!
