Is it normal that i don't think farts are funny?

I am an 18 yr old male. I have always thought that farting is disgusting and embarrasing. I'm embarrassed to do it even when I am alone.
I see movies and tv shows where guys fart and laugh at it. They may say "gross" but still laugh and forget about it. If someone farts in front of me, I have to get out of there. I feel like it gets on my clothes and if I actually do happen to smell it I gag and want to throw up.
Does it make me weird or any less one-of-the-guys? Is there some "man gene" that I am missing? Am I normal?

    Normal. Farts arent funny its a bodily function its gross

    I've never passed gas in front of anyone but I still find it hilarious when someone drops an air biscuit.

      Really? You've never farted in front of somebody?! Doesn't it hurt when you have gas in your intestines but you don't let it out?

      Besides, if you have a healthy diet and digestive system, gas shouldn't have an odor (or much of one) most of the time so you can fart all you like with no one knowing anyway ;)

    Farts are disgusting! It is completely normal to think that they aren't funny. To add to your list of reasons, when you can taste a fart you literally have bassically a mist of their fecal mater in your mouth from the fecal debree that escaps dieting a fart... Through clothes and all! Also there is a way to get pink eye from a fart. From one fart hater to another.... Keep your friends and their farts away from your pillow. O.o

    i personallyb find it gross to, i knw everyone farts but you dnt have to do it in front of me. i bet in a one o one situation, itd be very embarassing to fart because theres noone to blame lol

    If you don't like it then thats you, but for me if someone farts it doesn't really bother me because everyone does it. I'll only laugh if the person farted and looks embarrassed.

    We should really stop being embarrassed by natural things like farting and nudity. There's plenty more that humans have done to be massively embarrassed about.

    You need to read the book "The Gas We Pass".

    Farting is pretty funny. Immature yes, but that doesn't make it any less funny. Are you embarrassed to sneeze? That is far grosser than farting.
