Is it normal that i don't really care for female singers?

I'm a female who listens to rock and metal (not that screamo/gutter-rolling crap), I also listen to country sometimes and a bit of rap (not the mainstream stuff that's so popular these days). Anyway, out of all those genres I don't like listening to female singers. I find most of their voices mildly annoying and I just don't care for their songs. There's about 2 heavy metal bands with the lead singer being female, that I actually like. When I tell people this they find it weird especially since I'm a female myself. Is it normal?

    Try a bit of Billie Holiday or Bessie Smith. I could go on, but choose not to. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

    Try a song called take it in, by Wye oak, the are an indie rock/ folk band with a female lead but I think it works

        The drummer played drums and keyboard at the same time, plays drums with his feet and right hand and keyboard with his left hand, weird.

    I like any voice that's honest, soulful and unique. In general I probably prefer female singers though...P.J Harvey, Brodie Dalle, Abbe May, Kate Bush, Taylor Hanson, Patti Smith, Alice Cooper, Lana Del Rey, Tori Amos...

    Whatever you like, I guess.
