Is it normal that i don't mind the song friday by rebecca black?

I don't mind it. It really isn't as bad as people are saying it is, and it certainly beats other "worst song ever" contenders like "Agadoo" and "My Humps".

It has awful lyrics and its sung badly, but it's catchy, silly and humourous.

If I ever hear it on the radio, I won't cover my ears, I would actually hum to it, unlike JB's music that drives me insane. It at least has a tune. The rap part at the end in fact isn't that bad either.

I did leave a dislike on the YouTube video, although I've never left a nasty comment. I seriously don't mind it. It's not a good song, but it's not a bad song either. It's just a song that came into our lives.

oh my goodness i totally agree with you. the song is bad but i think people are overreacting. and what i don't understand is why rebecca black, a 13 year old girl, is getting death threats. what kind of f**ked up world do we live in that people are threatening a teenage girl just because she made a silly song & uploaded it on the internet? she's not hurting anyone, just having fun like other kids her age...

  • It's a pretty shit song, lets be honest. But on the shit-o-meter its really nothing new.

Yeah lyrics suck, Yeah she completely raped the auto-tune, yeah she looks like an idiot. But so do the majority of pop stars.

The thing that makes it fail the most is that Arc music follows the Pop song cookie cutter so closely.

I feel the same. I find myself enoying it far too often. It does get stuck in my head a lot, but compared to most of the stuff in the charts lately, it doesn't actually annoy me that much. Plus, it is pretty fun annoying everyone else by singing it!

It would be nice if the world united on something other than the hatred of a 14 year old girl.

It's only famous because the lyrics are some of the worst ever created.
It's fine to enjoy it as a novelty, and to laugh at it. But to actually enjoy the song for what it is, you may as well be listening to Disney-engineered pre-tween music.

I had a bad moment when, sober, I realized that it wasn't the best song I'd ever heard. But at 9am on St Patrick's Day, still drinking Killians and rum, it was the greatest thing I'd heard in ages. I think the funniest thing about it is that with all that production, its as good as Justin Bieber, Ke$ha, Katy Perry, and most of the other over-produced pap that's making it big.

I watched the video and yeah,I get kinda irritated cuz I'm stupid enough to actually watch the video. And what irritates me more is the homosexually metrosexual trend that this video is promoting, and the fact that in this thing a beautiful white girl is talking to a stupid asian dude. And Ark music is so stupid to make this Friday thing happen. It's normal for you to feel this way. It's okay for so many others to react, too.

I don't see the difference between "Friday" and any other pop-vomit out there. It's all the same mediocre bullshit.

I seriously don't understand why have people chosen to be irritated by that "song" exactly...

I don't understand all the hate myself. "Friday" may not be the greatest song ever but it's not any worse than most of today's pop music either. The lyrics are cheesy, but the song is catchy. Hey, at least she's not singing about sex and drugs like everybody else is these days.

I've heard it once. Lyrically, it was just awful. But, to be honest, I've heard worse. What focusses my mind is the amount of disapprobrium levied on a teenage girl. She's a teenage girl - she has problems enough without a load of snarky "adults" criticising her. I know she's put herself on a pedestal by releasing this but, really, can we not just leave her alone?

  • Me neither, I simply don't listen to it/watch the video. And I think Agadoo is great.

i dont like it, but its no worse than all the other crap in the charts and on the radio, and its definately not the worst song ever, at least its funny and sort of has a tune unlike a lot of manufactured pop music
