Is it normal that i don't like the feeling of vibrators?

I don't like having a vibrating feeling on my clitoris. It just doesn't feel natural to me. I also don't like when a guy flicks his tongue really fast on it...just slow and smooth like licking an ice cream cone. :) Anyway, my girl friend insisted I buy one, saying it'll "change my life" and I was really expecting alot...but now when I tell my friends I don't like it they're like, umm what?? I've tried each of the speed/rhythm settings for a few minutes, positioned it in all different ways, and nothing felt good. Maybe my nerve endings are different...but does anyone else feel the same??

    Not all vibrators are equal. The cheap ones are not pleasurable.

    Don't worry too much about it, different people like different things. That said, some women have problems with vibrators being too intense (and sometimes unpleasant or even painful). If it feels unpleasant, you could try a vibrator that's less powerful. If it just doesn't feel particularly good, it may not be powerful enough. You can test a vibrator's intensity before you buy it by turning it on and holding it against your nose.

      I can just picture someone in a store holding a vibe to their nose "why are you smelling the dildos?" I'm not smelling them, I just read on the net that......oh never mind I was smelling them, you got me.

    Vibrators and sexual techniques are NEVER "one size fits all" - or rather "one style gets all off"

    Everyone has different tastes. While some techniques work well for many people - it doesn't mean it will work well on everyone.

    As for flicking - to quote Nina Hartley "flicking sucks, sucking rocks".
