My wife was my first GF, I just went out with her because she was attractive, then her BF got married, a couple of months latter her friend told me she was thinking about breaking up with me because I had not asked her to marry me, I hadn't even thought about. My friends said I should do it because she was so hot, so I did it. Now we have been married for 5 years and I'm starting to realize that not only do I not like her I hate her, she is really boring and stupid. Do people just get married because of peer presure?

      I don't know if she thinks I'm boring and stupid we never really talk. She kind of treats me like a Ken doll tells me what to wear, tells me I have to go here and this.

        What gave you the idea that being tied down to a woman you do not care for was a good idea? Marriage is a serious thing and you turned it into a joke. Maybe you should think about your actions next time and not just say "What the hell"! If someone told you "Drinking and driving is cool bro"! are you going to do it? Are you really so thick headed you can not decide if something is a bad idea for yourself. Stop being everyone’s tool and do things because you want to not because people think you should. It was not even for an intelligent reason like money, or caring for kids. Being hot will not pay the bills, or help you get a car, or get you a job. So set your priorities straight. You could have an annulment in some cases. You clearly were too stupid to think this out at the time so perhaps you can do that.

        Well as you don't have any children, I would strongly recommend a divorce. You still have a large portion of your life where you could find someone who you actually want to live with, but that time is dwindling while you remain with your wife.

          Not all countries still sell women. Actually this is illegal in a lot of places across the globe. Its considered human trafficking. They had the woman's right movement awhile back. Woman today have about as much right as a man does in most fields.

              Punishment would indicate you committed some sort of crime. Are you saying its a law in your country to sleep with every single woman you find? You really are not making much sense at all. Women having a right means they do not have to be with anyone they are sold to. Do you mean to say you believe we need to buy a rape every woman we find? I really doubt that is something someone can or will enforce. Not everyone has a lot of money first off and that is forcing them to make a purchase. That is an idiotic law. Its also not considered a disgrace in other countries. Since other countries have different laws. What if its another persons wife? Do you not have wives in your country?

    You really shouldn't stay in that marriage. Your just wasting your own happiness and her chance to move on as well. Peer pressure isn't abnormal that's why as kids we are taught desperately to veer away from it, however you shouldn't have let it affect such a major decision in your life. That's five years you will never get back.

      If that were true the divorce rate wouldn't be as high. Many people get married because they feel like they have to, or should at this point in their life not because they've foind the one.

    You showed disrespect towards her by asking her to marry you because of peer pressure.
    Set her free to find somebody who really loves her- somebody who will get to know her properly before he proposes.
    I wish her more happiness in the the future.
    She must be very unhappy being married to you.
    Please end this unhappiness before a child is conceived (unlikey though, because you wouldn't want to have sex with a woman who you hate!)
