Is it normal that i don't like many films?

I seriously like very few films, i get bored of most films within about 15 minutes, I can't bear to watch them and have to go do something else. The last film I liked was silence of the lambs and I watched that about 6 months ago. Comedy films are rarely funny to me, horror films are NEVER scary to me. But besides from that I just find them so dull, I end up watching the same films over and over and then get bored of them. Same thing happens with TV shows. They are mostly dull, samey and even if the idea of the film is good, there are funny jokes, good actors and well written scripts I can still find them boring, why is this?

    I am exactly like this.
    Except for the watching the same films over and over part I also find most films bad.
    I can't stand horror or comedy (never scary, rarely funny) and I can only name a few films I really liked.
    I like films with interesting storylines.
    So as far as I'm concerned it's completely normal.

    Hiya,

    A lot of films don't deserve the praise they get, and go on far too long. Like with certain books or music, I'm sure a lot of people say they like them because everyone else does (or pretends to) and they don't want to be left out.

    It's cheaper to buy a film than go to the cinema (and I'm not good with sudden noises so it's not somewhere I frequent) but I don't see the point of buying them when I know I'll only watch them once. If I still desperately want to see it after a couple of years and buying it's the only way to do so, then I’ll buy it.

    I've got a couple of favourite actors, so I stick to their stuff because I know it's good. Give me a good book/TV series anytime –- both say the same thing but don't tend to bore me.

    Dont get me started. Im trying to change.... but most of them are just so bad. WHAT is with periodical movies based in the 1600s-1800's - they all had fucken crest white strips
