Is it normal that i don't like being touched when i'm mad at someone?

Whenever i'm mad at someone i FREAK OUT when they try to touch me, and it gives me the heebie jeebies if they even get close to me. When i'm mad at my mom and she comes to stand next to me i'll slowly move away, or when she puts her hand on my shoulder all i can think is "get off get off get off meee" and i discreetly try to shrug it off. When i'm mad at my boyfriend and he tries to touch me i yell at him walk off. It's really childish and irrational and i always have to say sorry after words but it just gets on my nerves so damn much.

had same problem with parents growing up and i still have the same problem with them. it is probably a defensive mechanism- you don't want someone touching you that you are angry at because at that moment they are your enemy and the touch invokes all of your fighting instincts. Don't know could have to do with evolution and all that shit. Ironically, i would like it if my wife touched me when I was angry- I think it would help. I geuss it depends how much you love the person you're pissed off at.
