Before I begin, I'd like to let everyone know that I don't take what I have for granted. I am very thankful for everything I have in my life.

My parents are both working, and I come from a wealthier family. Most of my friends at school though, are not as well-off. Sometimes they give me these looks when I come to school in new clothes or when they see that I carry around more expensive makeup.

I don't try to flaunt what I have. I don't try hard to blend in either. It just really bugs me when my parents just buy me things like clothes, phone, laptop, when I show even the slightest interest. I stopped asking for things a while ago. I want to earn it on my own, not just have everything handed over on a silver platter. Sometimes I feel guilty too.

    Not everyone has it so good. The looks you get are jealousy. Bring born rich doesn't make you a better person than others I'm sure you know already, but if I were you I would capitalize on it. It may not last forever so use it before you lose it.

    I was never the rich kid but I'm relatively well off now. I have had some awful experiences after people see where I live...
    I heard one girl tell her bf not to share our taxi fare coz of where I live and another ex friend went into my local pub and told everyone how many bedrooms, bathrooms, etc I had after she visited. I told everyone she was joking and I only had a 2 bedroom house!

    Don't know why it mattered to her but we don't speak now. Jealousy must be a terrible thing!
