Is it normal that i don't know how to make friends with other women ?

How do you "make" friends with a woman if you are a woman? I find it to be really awkward. I feel like it's a date when I ask a girl to hang out when you don't really know who she is. For instance, I see many say join a club or something to make new friends. Ok, but when you meet a woman there, what do you say? Hey, want to meet at Starbucks next week? Then you meet there and what? You ask what the same questions you do when you are on a date right? Things like, where are you from, what do you like to do? It's just weird. Any thoughts??

    If you feel a friendly connection just ask of they want to hang out. It used to be very hard for me to make friends with other women but I eventually learned to just relax and not necessarily to try so much, if you're meant to be friends then it will happen:)

    Don't rush in and ask to meet them for a few weeks until you know them better. It's much more casual to ask them what they're doing after they leave where you all are. If they say, 'nothing' you can suggest a coffee there and then so it's very casual. All you're trying to do is find out if you have things in common so that you can both decide if you want to be friends. Usually mothers become friends coz of their kids, others because of the gym or dancing or clubbing.
