Is it normal that i don't know how to make friends?

I recently moved to new city. Now i don't know one single person here, i'm living alone and even my job doesn't involve any kind of human interaction.
What do i have to do to make some friends when i'm literally alone on an unknown place?

"Friends" are just enemies with a smile.

You gotta find some hobbies that involve other people. Maybe volunteer for some shit or join a cult or frequent a coffee shop. Or you could go bar hopping, become an alcoholic and join A.A. Ok, maybe not a couple of those, but you get the idea. Force yourself to get out and meet people.

I grew up in the city but now I live on one ac in a coastal rural area. I've had no luck with friends , been here 5yrs.
My problem is I'm basically city and all the guys I meet are country types. Why can't I meet lifestyle type people that are just living on small ac' like me and not so much country types.
I have met a few but we never seem to hook up in the end and the coolest family I knew here have just moved away. They always made me feel better about the area but now they've left.
I work on my own too , there's plenty of work from home jobs where you do work alone don't worry about that one. I have a tiny bit of interaction through customers but that's it.
I'd sorta like to move away but I've finally just bought a place of my own , I love the property but once again most of the locals are country types and I just don't fit in. Pain in the arse!

I have the same issue only I have been living in the same town now for 25 years. It is so hard to meet decent people these days no matter where you live.
Maybe you should get a part time job somewhere you know you will have social interaction like a mall or resturant. No one wants to work 2 or 3 jobs but if you have nothing else to do might as well make some extra cash and hope to meet some decent people.

      Hi. Op here
since we are pretty much in the same situation, want to talk a little and trade some stories?
We probably live in diferent continents, so there's no awkward conversation, right?

Get a hobby or join a class. As you learn and explore new things, you might meet someone with the same interests as you.

    Good Luck:)

I'm curious to know what kind of job you do that doesn't involve any sort of human interaction. Sounds ideal to me. I've had too many problems with idiots at work.

OP here. I work on a factory assembling furniture. Usually, i'm alone connecting many peaces of wood and metal. I do have co-workers, but i rarely need to interact with them to do my job.
Usually, the only person that i have to talk with is my boss.
I could in fact talk with them, but i learned in the past that co-workers are not and will never be your friends, no matter how much they smile to you.
