You sound like me! :) Personally, I do think that having at least one close friend is healthy though. My husband and are reviving a friendship with an engaged couple we knew a while back ago. They have a baby together just as we do. It's amazing how much being around different people can change (in a good way) your relationship with your significant other.

I have two maybe three best good friends. The rest can all go to hell. Unless they buy me beer.

I use to be the same way, until I realized my sister was not going to be there for me all the time (especially when I needed her most through the hardest times) and that I was not going to be with the same guy for a very long time :(.

Hopefully you won't have to go through what I did, but it's always nice to have various other friends for you.

It seems that as one ages they lose touch with those who they were friends with in high school, college, etc. This is normal but perhaps you should try to maintain at least one friendship.

I thought much the same and am just a year younger, without a partner.
My brother got me to stop and think though - I did actually have friends, just that I wasn't counting them as friends because they were acquaintances through groups I.e. Church friends.
I have found it's actually because my parents are quite quiet and I've inadvertently picked it up. It may well not be your fault and you can, if you try, find new friends. Good luck!
