The only dreams ppl remember are ones that they wake up while they are dreaming them . If you finish a dream and move to another stage of sleep before you wake up , you will not remember your dream . Have someone wake you up while you're dreaming ( you can tell some one is dreaming by rapid eye movement ( that's when they are sleeping but you can see that their eyes under their closed eyelids are moving back and forth rapidly ) ) and then you will remember your dream but most ppl start to for get their dreams very quickly once they wake up. If you write down every thing you remember about your dream as soon as you wake up it will
Help you remember your dreams better . Every one dreams , even if you don't recall them .

get a book on *Lucid Dreaming*. and in one of the books i read, it was suggested to close your eyes and watch the images that dance in your mind's eye without judgement. eventually you will fall asleep.
before doing all this though, you may want to communicate to your inner-self that you INTEND to dream. its the intent that will help it to happen. once you do dream, keep a dream journal. try to remember as many details as you can. to make this method work it may take about a month or two of focusing and INTENDING to dream every night before going to bed. i believe you can do it tho. dont give up.

For me sleep is like blinking, I close my eyes and it seems like just one second has pasted and it has really been hours.

Oh, I'm dreaming about this idea of one pasted second. The imagery is lovely. ;)

This happens to me if Im not thinking about anything when i sleep, it's dark for about 2-5 seconds (in my "non-dream") then i wake up in like 7-9 hours.

Try different hours of sleeping. When i get 7-9 hours of sleep, i tend to be able to recall my dreams better. It varies from person to person though.

If you want to remember your dreams, ive heard that waking up a few hours before the normal time helps, i think its becase your dream gets interrupted or something

I only really remember dreams when I'm on holiday or sometimes on Saturday mornings. If I'm medicated (by which I mean shitfaced), I fall in bed and am gone in sixty seconds.

Then there's the feeling of rising up through the layers of consciousness, like something on the river bed gradually floating up. Somewhere near the surface, I hear the birdies tweeting loudly (as they do in a noisy city) and consciousness takes me like a sad-eyed predator and I'm within the belly of the beast for another day.
