I'm a 22 year old female and I have no armpit hair. I also have very little body hair. My mother is 1/2 native american and 1/2 Dutch and my father is Italian. Is it genetics and is it normal?
It's most likely just genetics, my mother is the same but she's Asian. I'd say normal. :)
I have a friend with native blood who has virtually no body hair. He shaves maybe once a month and only because 10 chin hairs look weird.
I'm surprised only because of the Italian part, because I'm 50% Italian too, but because of the Native American, it makes perfect sense. You are NOT weird, and don't let anyone tell you differently. If anyone says anything just say, "Well, I am lucky because I don't have to worry about shaving much!" or something clever like that! Normal my dear!
My mom is the same way. From my understanding it's the Indian side. My mom is part Indian and a mix of other things and my father is Italian. My leg hair grows slowly. I wish I had hardly any body hair. I see it as you being lucky.
