Is it normal that i don't have any friends?

I always do stuff for everybody! But do they? Nooo! I do share personal stuff to form a bond or link with many of the people who call themselves my friends. But it's insanely rare for anyone to be there for me when I need a friend. I am not boring or a project. I do good, I am polite, I harm no one and I love myself. What is that I am failing at that keeps-on making people disappoint me... Is this normal?

    Here's the thing you have to understand. Unless someone is specifically trying not to, than they only really worry about themselves and those they are close to. While a friendly stranger might seem like a good thing a lot of the time people just aren't in the mood to make friends. If I were you I'd go somewhere quite social and be just a little less nice. It's ok to be nice just don't be unconditionally nice. If someone doesn't treat you with respect when you've shown them respect than they're not worth your time.

    Keep being a nice person, and doing good things. That's all that matters. You will be happy with "friends" or without them.

    I can relate to your situation. I am myself in the same kind of phase. i donot think i am unfriendly or boring, though a little introvert. but i just dont seem to make any close friends anymore and those from past arent reliable either. hope things get better for you.

    It sounds like you just have bad luck with people. Personally, I'm similar to you, I like opening up to people and love it when they do the same with me. It creates a great bond, and great friends which I'm thankful for. I don't think you're doing anything wrong, I just think you have bad luck with people.
