Is it normal that i don't have a specific career choice?

I'm 19 and I'm studying for a GED (because I dropped out of high school at 17). The thing is though, I'm having a hard time deciding what career I should aim for once I get a GED. The main ideas I have in mind are Massage Therapy or becoming a science teacher for middle school. But other then these ideas, I'm not too sure.

  • Most your age don't. It's normal.

I will say that if you plan to teach, you'll need to learn the difference between then and than ;-)

Doesn't matter what you want to do you wont get the job you want because you will lack the experience.

    Nobody takes chances these days.

These days people don't often stay in one career for life. They change multiple times. Start in something, and always be on the lookout for opportunities.

I'm 21 and recently graduated from uni and I have no clue which field to go into my degree is very broad so I'm going to do post grad to prolong the inevitable decision making. Does anyone ever really know which career path to take though I wish I had given it more thought before I started uni I was sure then but now not so much. Don't stress too much about it and focus on getting your GED and remember to choose a career path where you'll be doing what you love, another tip when selecting what to study is to eliminate what you're not good at from the list of possible degrees/courses then go from there. Good luck hope you find what it is you want to do!

Same here, I feel like there are plenty of people who have no idea what they want to do with their life at this age.
