Is it normal that i don't get the japanese honorific titles?

While learning Japanese I'm also learning what honorific titles to refer to people as ( for me this is useful because this will help me to speak to my Japanese friend. ), most common ones are san, chan, sama and etc. I don't get them because they sound weird learning it. Sure they're common in anime ( No I don't watch a lot of it so you can get your mind of it. ), one thing I'll say is they're as confusing as trying to learn the Hiragana letters at first.

  • The Japanese are the French of the Orient. Even Vietnamese think they're weird.

こんにちは! The honorifics can get a bit of getting used to but you’ll get the hang of them eventually. Just focus on the main four for now (san, chan, kun and sama) and worry about the more obscure ones later. Also if you’re stuck on hirigana I’d recommend looking up mnemonics for each letter. For example I remember け is ke because it looks a little like a keg, stupid stuff like that is actually really helpful. Good luck bro, it only gets harder from here lolol

There was a guy who worked at an alt club in my town who wrote Japanese characters on people’s hands for entry instead of stamping them to practice his writing.

Normal for anyone whose mother tongue is of the Indo-european language tree to find Japanese confusing. (I'm assuming English is your mother tongue)

Apart from a few random borrowed words that have slowly leaked into their language since the American influence of the war, there is nothing at all that links their language to anything that you know.

Good on you for taking the time to learn it. Many westerners wouldn't bother.

    Good luck!

You're younger than me, so I would refer to you with -kun right?

    ノーマルジャッジくん

I think this^ is how "NormalJudge-kun" would be typed. Transliterating things into Japanese can be weird though
