Is it normal that i don't find straight guys to be that attractive?

I'm a 20 year old gay college student. Since I realized that I was gay, I noticed that when I knew another guy was gay, I would find him many more times more attractive to me than if he were a straight guy with the same body. Conversely, if I found out that a cute guy with ambiguous sexuality was straight, I'd find him a lot less attractive after the fact.

I sort of took this aspect of my sexuality for granted, and didn't really think about it until the topic came up in a conversation recently, and I began to wonder if this was, in fact, normal. If you guys could give me your thoughts, that'd be awesome. :)

    im a girl and find gay guys a lot more attractive than straight guys: gay guys seem to take better care of themself, more understanding, easier to talk to without have their ego AlWAYS get in the way, and sometimes smarter

    I'm a straight male... And when I find that a girl is attracted to me. Then I'm more attracted t her. So i guess its normal

    I am not gay or a male but I can relate and I think it makes perfect sense. For instance if I was drooling over a guy and later find out he was gay I would be less attracted to him. Has absolutely nothing to do with my feelings for gay people it's more that I think even when we fantasize we like to base that fantasy in reality. Even if you would never do it it's fun to imagine that you could or would. Finding out that persons orientation does not match that of what you need it to be kills a good amount of the 'slight plausibility' factor we need in order to completely engross ourselves in our fantasies.

    so if there was a guy that you had met that was straight you wouldn't be attracted to him, but if he later said im gay it would suddenly be like..wow fitty! thats kinda normal, it would feel weird for me(a girl) fancying a gay guy cause i know there would never be any feelings returned, so i suppose its the same for you, whats the point in pining over something you can never have? some people like wanting things they cant have, i guess your not one of them :P

    It's normal.

    The gay community is small enough as it is; when you know someone bats for your team, they automatically become a 'prospect'.

    Totally normal; you're attracted to someone who you can have a prospective relationship with.

    Well, I'm not sure how normal it is but it sounds like it'll work out in your favour. Would be much worse for you if you only found straight guys hot.

    Many of my gay male friends express a preference for straight-acting men.
