I am a straight girl and I don't get crushes anymore...I don't really hang out with people or guys much, but when I have met some guys I just don't get the butterflies anymore even if I find him attractive . Also I have lost trust in people in general so I don't know if that contributes to me having no feelings, IIN?
Golly, you sound like me, except that I'm a 43 year old two time divorcée. For some reason I feel like you're maybe half my age but I dunno.
I think you reach an age when you stop getting that feeling. Could be wrong, but I've always seen crushes as a thing that teenagers get. That butterflies in your gut feeling, excitement of this unknown mysterious stranger and half the kids don't understand what this feeling is so it intensifies. When you're older you're able to take a step back to rationalize what all these feelings meant, the implications of a relationship and what it involves.
I don't think it's unusual and unless you feel like it's having a negative impact on your life I wouldn't worry about it.
thanks for your comment :) much appreciated, I'm only 19 so i dunno... It doesn't bother me too much but I do think about it and it kinda concerns me about my future. It bothers others more than it does me to be honest. People are quite judgmental when it comes to this are and I don't like being judged. They think and jump to the conclusion that somethings wrong with me or i'm weird cause I don't have a bf and I find it soo irritating and makes me fell bad :/
Definately not normal if you are still young but, whoah how did you do that I dont want to have crushes but it seems impossible to control tell me please I really dont want to love anyone I dont think Im good at the whole Romance thing. Im a boy by the way.
Wow! I've never gone through life without a crush. I don't even know if I can. I don't hang out much either and, because of that, I always get crushes on celebrities. This has never dawned on me before, but my life would be totally different if I didn't have a crush on someone. Hm. I can't even imagine.
