Is it normal that i don't care for anyone's birthday

It's getting annoying when people expect to have party's thrown for them, and once I forgot to say happy birthday to one of my friends and he got mad and I didnt understand why so I had to remind myself to say happy birthday, in reality I don't care not even for my parents birthday

        than that is how i am too....especially my stupid mother in law who is 78 who actually gets all butt hurt just like my hubby who is 51 when I try my hardest to not make a big deal out of theirs..for crying out loud I think people should stop celebrating once they turn 18 because its downhill from there

            I think that the age of celebrating 'your birthday' depends on how the person is feeling about it. Some people can be 'old' and feel young and some people can be 'young' and feel old. Just don't let them bother you.

    I can only understand people getting upset with you for not acknowledging their birthdays if they acknowledge yours. It's common courtesy to say "happy birthday!" to someone on his birthday if he does the same for you on your birthday. If they don't acknowledge your birthday, however, I wouldn't worry about it.
