Is it normal that i don't brush my teeth everyday?

Hi there,
I want my teeth to be nice and white and shiny, but I hate the taste of mint toothpaste, it makes me feel sick. I only brush my teeth at night. Because if I brush it in the morning I eat then brush then later on I brush again and I don't like the taste/feel of toothpaste mixed with food when I'm brushing. Any ideas. And I also soemtimes don't even brush my teeth at night. Please any suggestions to help!!!

Smoke cigarettes and, after about 10 years, you will hardly notice the minty taste.

    Yeah Sure It's Normal.

Maybe You Should Try Kids Toothpaste.
    Tastes Like Bubblegum.

Or Maybe Just Use Mouthwash In The Morning And Brush In The Night.

Brush your teeth with baking soda. It cleans and whitens your teeth

Use cocoa powder instead. Make sure it's unset tended. I use it and it works better than just about any other toothpaste I've ever used.

Not all toothpaste has mint,as you can see.

If you dont brush&floss your teeth will not stay white
and shiny.gently brush your tongue as well.

I use grapefruit flavored toothpaste and since it tastes so good, it's a good incentive to brush often! Try to brush everyday, otherwise plaque will build up.

I don't either. It makes me sick. Try carrying your toothbrush around with you and carry a portable sink around your neck. Anyone else do that? No, only me? okay...

You need to brush every day. The plaque will turn into tartar. And the tartar will attract even more plaque. This can lead to gingivitis(gum disease, red, swollen, bleeding gums) and even periodontitis (irreversible bone loss). A lot of oral issues can be prevented if you just brush your teeth efficiently every day.

Although, if it makes you feel better, brushing at night is more important than brushing in the morning. And that's because your saliva doesn't fight bacteria as hard when you're sleeping.

However, the best way to have healthy teeth and gums is to brush twice a day and floss once a day. If you don't like flossing, which most people don't, you can start off by flossing at least 2 or 3 times a week.

Hope that helps a little. Please don't skip out on brushing. It can affect you in more ways than you think.

  • I always feel the need to brush first thing in the morning. Morning breath is disgusting. How can you stand that?

Haha this happens to me. Like I hate brushing my teeth in the morning because of the food mixing with it and it feels and tastes weird, and it doesn't really feel clean. I might wait about half an hour after eating breakfast for my mouth to naturally clean out most of the food, then brush. Or you could try a toothpaste that doesn't taste like mint. I know kid's toothpaste has better flavors :)
