Is it normal that i don't admit my ex boyfriend i miss him too?

My boyfriend of 3 years left me because he coudn't handle the long distance any more. He said he wanted to date other people and don't see us together any more. Now he texts me sometimes saying he misses me and wants to hang out and talk. I know we won't get back together if he didn't do something major to prove me he knows he was wrong. Is it normal to not initiate us getting back together even though i miss him too?

    On one hand, people play games and act dishonestly about their feelings. However, in your case, I think you are fully justified in not initiating a reunion. He left you. It takes time to get over something like that and it always leaves scars. I accept that people make mistakes (perhaps he now sees leaving you was a mistake) and I also believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt. But he's got to hold up his end of the bargain too. He's got to prove his intentions.

    I think you're doing exactly the right thing. Good luck, whatever happens.
